A good drawing worth a thousand explanations, who better than the Comic Strip could summarise in some 80 pages what Operation Overlord and the Allied landings in Normandy were like? Without parodying the famous formula of a no less famous newspaper which was aimed at young people from 7 to 77 years old, it has to be said that comic books are available to a wide public.

Combining images and texts, it can be related to both cinema and literature but has the gift of keeping it short and to the point.

This is certainly why it is read with such interest, whether you are a child, a teenager, a parent or a grandparent. May this book both convey the message of the elders who experienced these struggles and this period of occupation, and enthuse the youngest by teaching them the price of freedom.

These are the wishes that I am expressing by supporting the initiative of this project on behalf of the D-Day Landing Committee.
