The M2 Bradley, also known as the M2 IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) is an American infantry fighting vehicle.
The M2 Bradley IFV was designed largely in response to the Soviet BMP family of infantry fighting vehicles, and to serve as both an APC, and a tank-killer. It was considered to be the infantry transport offering at least some armour protection while providing fire cover for dismounted troops and suppression of enemy tanks and armoured vehicles. The M2 can accommodate a crew of three: a commander, a gunner and a driver, as well as six fully equipped soldiers.
