In the 1986 film Top Gun the MIG-28 was portrayed as the antagonistic aircraft that faced F-14 Tomcat fighters piloted by the main characters. Despite having no real-world equivalent, the MIG-28 gained popularity thanks to the movie Top Gun and has become an iconic part of pop culture. However, film fiction contains a grain of truth! The familiar silhouette of the mysterious MiG-28 is no secret to aviation experts. The movie's villain is the famous Northrop F-5 Freedom Fighter plane, repainted for the film!

Using 332 COBI construction blocks you can build the amazing plane of a mysterious foreign power that dared to stand in the way of American F-14 pilots! The licensed set was built with the utmost attention to detail and based on the plans of the F-5 Freedom Fighter aircraft. The characteristic black color and emblems with a red star make it impossible to confuse it with any other film machine! The plane has movable ailerons, armament and detachable landing gear. The cockpit opens and you can place a simplified figure wearing a helmet with the film’s characteristic red star enclosed in a yellow circle! The set also includes a brick display stand and a nameplate with the Top Gun logo!
