Fotoboek Belgische Zeemacht 1946-1996
Photobook Belgian Navy 1946-1996
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All these ships are mentionned with full details, as well about her class, the technical and operational data as about her service within the Belgian Navy and the operations in which they were involved.
Starting with the MMS's, the ZINNIA and the LTZ VICTOR BILLET in the late 40's, the American built minesweepers as well as the “ALGERINE’’-class escorts and the famous KAMINA in the 50's, the Belgian built and designed A960 GODETIA and A961 ZINNIA, during the 60's, the E-71 class frigates in the 70's and, finally, the "TRI-PARTITE"-class minehunters, all the Belgian Naval Ships are described in this photobook.
Only a few of us would be able to mention which ship was involved in the international operations like the Gulf war or the UN-embargoes against Iraq and Former - Yugoslavia. All this information, and much more about both those early days in 1946 - 1949 and the actual Navy is, shortly, described.
In one word , this photobook allows you to discover ALL the ships that once flew the Belgian Naval flag over the seven seas of the world.
